Ben Swanson

Job Title

Ben has lived and worked in Cross Plains with his wife and four children since 2010. Believing strongly that engagement is the best way to contribute to community development has made it easy for Ben to be involved with the Chamber throughout the years. Whether serving on the Ambassador Committee in 2013, the Market Analysis Committee in 2017, the Joint Economic Development Committee with the Village in 2018, or during my current Board Term that began in 2021, the Cross Plains Area Chamber of Commerce has been a great venue for engagement with both the business and residential community where he works and lives. Ben has worked for State Bank of Cross Plains and now Lake Ridge Bank since moving to town, primarily in a Commercial Banking Role. His role at the bank has allowed him to bring the skills and training he gained professionally to the wider community through the Chamber. Outside of the Chamber, Ben has also spent time on the Boards of the Ice Age Trail Alliance, The Gateway to the Driftless Inc., and Dane County Long Term Disaster Recovery. He has also spent volunteer time with Park School, Glacier Creek Middle School, and St. Francis Xavier School and Parish, along with a variety of youth sports coaching roles. Ben particularly enjoys spending his time working on the latest iterations of the Memorial Day Chicken Barbeque, Light Up Cross Plains, and the Cross Plains Lions Trout Days as large community gathering events that show off Cross Plains in many ways, and he looks forward to continuing to serve the community through the Chamber of Commerce.
